I had a TAVR done on April 2017. It went well. I did feel a lot of fatigue for a few days. After 3 - 6 months, I received an echo of severe stenosis so I was wondered if it will go well. I am also a leukemia survivor. That was my second heart surgery. So, far my last echo it was better but I still have moderate stenosis. I am 43 years old. Surgeon said TAVR will last 10 -15 years but I do not believe due to my age. I try not to do strenous exercise. I take an aspirin every day. So, I would like to know if there were any on the TAVR for that many years. Stay positive eat well no fats a lot of greens.
Hope you are ready to go and surgery still on schedule. I will be going to hospital at 5:30am in the morning. I guess they don't have to use so much anesthesia ...Read more

Anne Walpole Actually, I had an echo in November that said it was 0.6. Then I had a stress echo in December that showed it was 1.0! However, the cardiologist at the stress echo (my usual cardiologist was on maternity leave) said I could definitely plan that I will be having my surgery within the next year. My valve area has been 1.0 for the past few years, so I assume that the other values on the echo were what made him say that.
