Hey Anthony I have very similar diagnosis severe stenosis and 4.8 ascending aorta. Just wondering how old you are? I’m 41 and pretty sure I’m going tissue valve and I realize that won’t be anything the surgeon wants to hear. Also full sternotomy?

veronica gunthner I'm so glad it was a success and recovery is going well. I was released day 5 post op and finally started to feel stronger yesterday. One day at a time, right? My surgery was actually the 3rd-hospital gave me the wrong dare initially! Will be following your progress.

Anthony Shipley I had the Bentall procedure with a mechanical valve. That’s really all I know. Replaced my ascending aorta and inserted an Onyx Valve. I believe that’s the spelling.

Welcome Anthony, 2 months post opp and doing great, also had bicuspid aortic valve and aortic artery Aneurism which gives you the regirgitation as a bonus. I have been anesthetized several times, jusr relax and breath deep and the next thing you know they will be waking you up. Like the OHS, for most the fear is way worse than the procedure itself. You look in good shape, you should do just fine 👍 How old are you, I am surprised the dont ask that on your story as it is applicable to vakve surgery. Cheers
