Elaine Yerby Hi Kelly,
Sorry I haven't been in contact - I have had another problem which has meant the BAV has had to take a back seat for now: a detached glute muscle which landed me in a wheelchair for a while, followed by crutches - a very painful event which I am now getting over, thankfully. I have rheumatoid arthritis which can mean problems with muscle quality and which probably caused this to happen.
Anyway, how are you getting on? I'm waiting to see the cardiologist next month and am starting to get symptoms- palpitations, lightheadedness, dizziness. I'm getting worried as I'd like to be able to speak to a cardiac surgeon sooner rather than later to get an idea of the options available. I feel in limbo and researching things on the Internet is only making me more anxious. Are you any further forward? Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Kelly Stoll Oh Elaine, I am sorry I missed your message. I am further forward. I actually am 5 weeks post-op as of yesterday. It has been an interesting journey and I hope you are well. My surgery went smoothly, there have been a few bumps in the world, and sometimes it's a bit overwhelming. The ability to take a deep breath again though and appreciate all the good things in my life though makes this journey 100 times worth it. Wishing you the best and hoping you are well.
