Ken M Ana you made a very poignant comment in regards to what my parents had to go through when I was a 10 yo. Because this was back in 1960 at the time open heart surgery,still very much in its early stages the doctors told my parents there were lots of risks. I was in the ICU for 5 days which was typical for the time and then stayed in the hospital for another 16 days!!! Wasn't allowed to walk for 10 days. It is amazing now that you're up the next day after surgery and moving to a chair. I believe your surgery date is tomorrow the 29th. If I'm wrong I apologize. However I wish you all the best and a speedy , uncomplicated recovery.

Hello Lynn and Ken, I lived in New York and have visited Boston several time, my dad’s family is from Sturbridge. I do love the northeast, but, I am from California and love it. My mother’s side of the family is from Sonoma County, which is gorgeous
. We also are blessed with excellent heart doctors like Dr. Castro in Northern California and Dr. Starnes my surgeon in Southern California. Yes we are blessed to be near good cardiac care but we still have to do a lot of research to find the right ones. So glad you are both doing well .
