Thank you for the information, Maggie. Glad to hear that you had a good experience at UM and are doing well. I am not set up with a surgeon yet but have been doing some research. Dr. Himanshu Patel seems to have much experience with aortic valve replacement. I will also check out Dr. Bolling. Thank you!

Maggie Ma Hi, Robbie, yes, I’m living in Novi Michigan. I’m very satisfied with my experience at UM CVC center even though I had a small hiccup there: My surgery is very successful and my recovery has been quick and great so far. My surgeon Dr Bolling is very skilled and talented. He’s definitely an expert on mitral valve. Care service is also good. Overall I think CVC UM is well organized. I was considering between UM CVC and Cleveland Clinic. I decided to go with UM CVC since it was more convenient and also with great mitral valve doctor. Who is your doctor? Dr Bolling is great on mitral valve. I don’t know his experience on aortic valve. Maybe Adam and someone else in this community can advise a good doctor for Aortic valve.

Maggie Ma I also like my surgery Coordinator Marguerite a lot. She provided quick response to all my questions before and after surgery. She followed up with me weekly on my recovery status. She is so nice and patient. UM medicine has a portal. I would strongly recommend you to create an account on their portal. You can see all the notes and test results right way and also ask any questions there. They response to questions on the portal quickly as well.
