Hello! You said two things in your story that will encourage a lot of us: 20 years on your valve!!!! And, that you are doing TAVR for this valve. If i happen to get 20 years, it puts me around 75. I really dont want OHS at 75. This one was enough! So please keep us in the loop, on your progress! I hope your next valve ticks along for another 20!!

Penny Baker Hello! I have no regrets that I chose the porcine valve and at that time (2003) I hoped advances in medicine would come along to make things easier and they did!!
Yes, almost 20 years for my pig valve surprised my doctor and I did do cardiac rehab and kept busy. I had no major setbacks related to my valve choice and take aspirin every day. I will have a TEE and heart cath either this week or next and funny enough my daughter is a nurse in the unit where I will have them done. I will certainly post my progress and let you know.
