Hi Rachelle, my name is Hope. I live in Toronto, Canada and our stories are similar. I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma when I was 18 years old and I am now almost 53. I was treated with radiation, but was never told about the late effects. Almost 3 years ago I had to have a PM installed due to 3rd degree Heart Block. At the same time, I learned I had severe stenosis of my mitral valve and would need to have my valve replaced at some point, or, when my symptoms worsened. Unbeknownst to me, these heart issues were all related to the late effects of radiation treatment. Would love to chat with you!
