Peggie Perry Ron, hope you're doing well. I'm from Michigan too. Was going to do the surgery in Orlando, but while up here I sought a second opinion from Steven Bolling at U of M Hospital. He told me I needed surgery last year...so needless to say we're in Michigan until after my post-op checkup in November. This little ditty may make you smile...

My surgery may be at U of M, but my heart still belongs to MSU! GO GREEN!

Welcome, Ron! I also had a flail P2 leaflet on my mitral valve. I had a little open heart surgery in 2018 in Chicago at age 54, and I've done great. You will, too. I'm glad you decided to get right on it. Your heart has been covering up the problem for long enough, getting it fixed will help long-term. Also a Wolverine AB86, JD89. Go Blue and I'll soon welcome you to the repaired mitral valve club.
