Steven Applebauigh Thank you very much, Steve! As you surely know and understand well, there are days when that proverbial "sick pit" is exceptionally prominent, while seemingly absent at other times. I am pursuing a second opinion with a cardiothoracic surgeon who does minimally invasive procedures with robotic assistance. I feel better -- calmer -- with having the "power" to have some "control" or decision-making. Anyway, I appreciate your comment and willingness to chat. I hope that you have a wonderful day.

Barry Brasseaux Hi Steven. The thought of heart surgery can make anyone felt anxious but it sounds like your are taking the right steps to ensure you have a successful outcome. I had a St. Jude valve replace my aortic valve in 1988 at Hopkins and all has been good except for aneurysm repair in 2017 but the St. Jude has functioned perfectly since 1988. Making the best decision for you will help you feel more in control of how the process with proceed. All the best Steven and my thoughts are with you for a very successful surgery.
