Patricia Garcia Hi Michelle, I use to be embarrased by my heart surgery scar. I would put make-up on it or have a long necklace cover it up. One day someone told me why be embarrased that saved your life. I was only 37 and felt that people thought I must not be healthy with clogged arteries CAD, not a congential birth defect and some poeple would ask me questions. Wow you are so young to have heart surgery, but just looking at this website. We are from all different walks of life. Best selfie I have ever seen.

Michelle Maring Thanks everyone. I figure it's there, why hide it?? It looks much better now as it's been 3 weeks since my hospital stay. I was born bicuspid so mine wore out quickly. I am 53 and it was by the grace of God that I actually found out it was a heart issue so I am truly blessed

Tammy Pilcher I feel the same way, Michelle. I'm 51 and I know it was God's amazing grace that mine was found in time too! I had been hiking in the mountains and walking like crazy with my chest feeling like it was going to explode. I thought my shortness of breath was due to asthma, so I just kept going.
