Terry Gillen  Thank you all that is very sweet, I am 60 and Worried that might make it harder to recover. I have no family close by so I am glad I came across this forum. I have to find a ride to the Heart hospital in Austin Weds. June the first so my Dr. Can run the camera down my mouth to get a better picture of my heart and surrounding area, I guess by running this test they also figure out how they will be going in, either open heart or through the side. I do not even know for sure if that is correct really I am looking for answers on line because this being a holiday I can't talk to my Doctor. I just know he said I needed surgery the sooner the better. Forgive my ignorance on this subject I am overwhelmed, hope I am making sense everything is happening so fast. Thank you all for sharing your stories it helps so much.

Mary Wagner  I had surgery 2 In March at age 64. Not that hard to recover. You look like you are in great shape!
