Hey everyone. Claire's daughter again! This time she asked me to post so we're getting there. She's been sick to her stomach all morning. She thinks it's the pain meds buthe wanted to know if any of you all had that issue. Besides that-things are going well. She was able to take a short walk to the waiting room and back early and is about to do the same again in a few minutes. Love and prayers to all.

Charles Haas They've actually had me on prilosec since I was in the hospital, for fortunately avoided the nausea. By the time of my discharge I was doing at least 4 walks a day in the halls. (the first day using a walker until I got confidence back)

They changed up her meds to something a little less harsh and it seems to be taking the edge off the pain without making her sick.

She did two little walks today. It's her first full day on this floor where she's able to get up and walk around so I think she's doing well. We are goung to walk at least one more time again before i leave tonight. Her left knee is in pretty bad shape so she is fighting two battles when walking but she's doing good considering.

Doran Herritt I had nausea early on. They gave me meds for it. It went away though after the first day or two after I stopped using pain meds.
Keep on going. I am 12 days postop and day 2-5 were probably the greatest improvement. You'll b there soon.

Claire M Miller HI everyone it is my 8th day post op I just returned home and Iam looking forward to just recovering each day Iam feeling stronger. I want to thank all of you who had responded to my daughter love and a smooth recovery to anyone having surgery and who are recovery from surgery
I guess Iam alot stronger than I thought.. keep moving forward and looking for a stronger me. God blessaid all of you.

HI all! Claire's daughter again! This morning they were able to remove all tubes and the main IV in her neck and she has MOVED UP to the next floor out of icu. Making great progress!! She sends her love to all of you and says for anyone with surgery coming up this week to hang in there, take a deep breath, you CAN and WILL get through it. <3

Hi all, Claire's daughter here. Her surgery went well on Thursday morning with no surprises. She did go into a fib but they have gotten that under control. The afternoon of her surgery they were able to take her off the ventilator. They removed one of her drainage tubes yesterday and she is off most of the IV mess today (now taking them orally) We hope that they will be able to remove the rest of the tubes today to make her a little more comfortable. Long road ahead but at the 48 hour make post surgery she is doing well. She asked today that I give you all an update. Much love to you all!
