For those of you interested in the Inspiris Resilia (by Edwards) valve discussed on this website, you can call Patient Support at 949-250-2012 (Lola Feeks) and request a list of surgeons in your area. Note that the Edwards website does provide a "find a surgeon" feature but it is not accurate, as they rely on the surgeons themselves to update it. For example, they list 0 surgeons in Washington state but Lola sent me a list of 8 surgeons who do offer the valve in their practice. Hope this helps others who are interested in the valve.
Hello friends! I am looking at having aortic valve replacement. How do I find a facility/doctor that offers the Inspiris Resilia valve?

David Puzycki My insurance website does list both Burke and Oyetunji, thank you so much! Question, my numbers are; velocity 40mmHg and area .68cm2. Most days I have no symptoms but other days I fatigue easily. I walk everyday with a small hill. Most days it's ok, some days out of breath. How do you know when you are ready for surgery?

David Puzycki Brady - which Doctor ordered your cardio cath, TEE, CT scan, your cardiologists or the surgeon? Unfortunately the situation with cardiologists through my doctor's office (Trios) has been less than good, I have had 3 in the past 4 years as they have all quit and moved on. My new cardiologists suggested that I have another echo in August to see how fast I am digressing. I feel a little lost.

Brady Busch David, I'm a veteran,so my medical issues are seen mostly at the Seattle VA hospital.Also,Dr.Oyetunji happens to be the chief of cardiac surgery at the Seattle VA and possibly the Puget Sound system. So maybe, she had some involvement in what tests were done, along with other VA cardiologists. All testing, except for the carotid was done at the VA. Contacting the UW Heart Institute or one of their doctors and explaining your situation, might help a lot.
