Hi everyone,
Has anyone in this group had this experience that I have now. I have pain in my left arm some time right one too but most on the left side from yesterday but I don’t have any chest pain or shortness of breath. The pain is not strong and I fell my arm is kind of warm. I had my two valve replacement surgery two years ago. I will call my doctor today but I’m not sure if there office is open.

I’m on blood thinner (warfarin) for over a year now. Today when I was trying to brush my teeth, I saw a patch of blood on top of my gum it freaked me out. I can taste the blood in my mouth all day . I can’t see my doctor because it’s weekend . I would like to know if anyone had this experience before. My INR level was 2.9 last Sunday so I’m going tomorrow to check again.

I had Two valves replacement 5 mo ago. I still get swelling in my ankles/feet Like before the surgery. I thought the treatments were supposed to help, but I feel like I am worse off. The doctor does not have answers for me. Is what I am experiencing normal? What should I do?

Have you checked all your medications for side effect of fluid retention? Or, maybe you need a fluid pill. I would definitely give my doctor a call and maybe he can review the medications you are taking. Good luck.

Susan Lynn Fatema - I am so sorry to hear that. I think Karen has provided some good ideas. I'd also take a close look at your diet to limit any sodium that might be contributing. Did you go to cardiac rehab? If not, I highly recommend it. In addition to the exercise, the medical professionals and other participants often have good suggestions to help dissipate fluid.
It may also be time for another doctor. Best of luck to you!
