Today marks the one year anniversary of my surgery at Mayo Clinic in Florida. I feel grateful to my surgical team led by Dr Kevin Landolfo, and the staff at Mayo Clinic. Also, I would like to thank my wife and family who nurtured me back to 100%. I am grateful to you all.
I would also like to encourage those who are facing surgery; while it certainly is a frightening experience, you will make it to the other side of recovery. Follow your doctor's instructions, walk as much as possible, and complete cardiac rehab and look forward to your new lease on life!
Special shout out to Ana Brusso for your upcoming surgery, you are in my prayers and I know everything will turn out well. Best of luck my friend!

Had my four week follow up at Mayo Clinic, Florida this week. All was good and I have been released from the surgeon's care. I would like to take a minute to thank Dr. Kevin Landolfo and his entire team at Mayo Clinic. These guys are smart, professional and compassionate, and have a team approach like no other. I would also like to mention two of the ladies that make this team special: Jennifer Morin and Amy Lykina, both of whom are APRNs. These ladies have made my experience with Mayo and the Londolfo team excellent. I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to Dr Landolfo, his team, and especially Jennifer and Amy. I'm eternally grateful to you all. Thank you!

I am in my third week of recuperation and it's going very well. I am walking between 1.2 and 2.0 miles per day, albeit at a slower pace than before surgery. I continue to feel better each day and am able to sleep at night which makes all the difference in the world. Not sure where I read the first two weeks post surgery was toughest part of the recovery, but so far I find it to be true. Getting my energy back but still resting plenty per Dr's orderrs. We go back to Mayo Sept 22, for post surgery exam. Hope everyone is doing well! Thank you Adam and the community for all your support!

TIMOTHY HAMILTON Great to hear that you're doing so well. I think we had the same repairs done by open heart surgery. I'm 4 weeks out today, but only walking 1/2 mile twice a day, so you're doing great!
You are doing great Jay. Timothy you are too. So glad for your share guys. Have a great weekend
