Martin Smith That's great, Jay! For a few years until 2019 I was spending the better part of my winters in Granby , CO. for the skiing, My cardiologist discouraged me from continuing to spend time at altitude (i.e. sleeping at 8000' and skiing at up to 10,000'. He discouraged me a year prior to my Ross procedure, and 15 months post-op with very good results, still discourages me from living at those altitudes. He admits that his research and knowledge about heart conditions at high altitudes are limited. How have you felt at altitude and does your doctor have opinions about heart valve recipients participating in high altitude sports?

Jay Heagerty Thank you for all the nice comments! To answer a few questions: Martin, when I told my surgeon that we had a ski trip planned, he said tell me anywhare but Telluride! We were in Telluride. Did great no issues.
Ana, Yes my triplets were there and my daughter graduated from Stetson a semester early. We all had a great family trip and as you all can appreciate, these are the moments that make life worth living!
