This is my update: Following on from my Mitral Valve replacement I have had 2 unsuccessful Cardio Version treatments, then May, 2023 was fitted with a Pacemaker. Again, this did not address the A-Fib, with me not able to walk far or attempt steps without gasping for air and losing the strength in my legs to keep walking. August, 11 I had a AV Node Ablation performed by a Cardio Electrophysiologist that is now showing signs of correcting the A-Fib and over the last 2 days have gained enough strength and confidence to walk 2 kilometers without needing to stop. I now have high hopes for this success.

Robert Miller I am not a cardiologist but I don't see the connection between afib and pacemaker. A pacemaker can help with your heart getting into rhythm. However, I believe in your case it's just fixing symptoms and not fixing the underlying issue. Get a second opinion. Btw, I had severe afib and they somewhat fixed it with the maze procedure. They also removed the heart's appendix where blood clots can form. Great job on the walking. Keep it up!!!
