I am doing good with my recovery. I am able to do most things on my own. I joined here to get encouragement from people who truly know what I am going through. My surgery was supposed to be 4-5 hours. Somewhere along the way there were complications that caused me to have to be in surgery longer. I was told that I started bleeding around the heart after they were done repairing my valve. I was in critical condition. My surgery was Thursday morning, but I was not waken up until Saturday. This was a very tough time for my family. They told me how scared they were when the doctor came out to talk to them. Me, on the other hand, I was covered by the blood of Jesus and never knew I was in danger. I want to use my second chance to be able to help someone else who may be going through. I am so blessed to be alive.
