I've been now running 6 miles during my 1-hour sessions since my 3-month anniversary which was just over a week ago (Oct 23rd). The goal I set for myself is accomplished, and plan is to stay at this level now. ~3 days a week should be a plenty. Thank you all.

3-month Post-Op update (Surgery was July 23, 2024): Walk, jog, run: I primarily used home treadmill progressively: walking -> brisk walking -> Incline walking -> Incline jogging -> Running. I also had some sessions outdoors.Walk: At 1-month, I walked 10k (6.25 miles) on treadmill in 1:45:00 Walk-Jog at incline: At 2-month, I could walk-jog (at 3.6 – 4.5+ mph) on incline (0-10 degree) on treadmill for 1-hr. Run: At 3-month, I can run ~5.7 miles in continuous 1-hr run on treadmill. I also did a 5k (3.125 miles) outdoors in ~31:30 (~10 min/mile pace)

Hello everyone, I live in the bay area and getting ready for surgery this summer (AVR with root/ascending replacement - Bentall procedure). I don't see much recognition/information on Stanford Hospital, or its leading surgeons. Anyone has experience with Michael Fischbein there? I've an appointment with him coming up in 10 days.
Glad to have found this forum. Lot of good information and resources, and above all, this wonderful community. Thank you for having me here.
J Alexander Lassally Stanford is kind of elusive... Big on ego, that much I know !!
Chuck Wagner TJ, I wish you well. I’m from the Bay Area and had AVR in San Francisco about 6 weeks ago.
