Donna Gavin Thank you Terrie. All did go well, though I was intubated for two days. They were able to repair the valve and hopefully I won't have to have this surgery again! I am having a lot of shoulder pain, but other than that I'm doing good. They had me use 1# weights with my arms at cardiac rehab yesterday. Maybe I should have started with no weights...I'm definitely feeling it today.

Hello Donna- Whoever "Holly" is her post to you was beautiful and you are lucky to have received such a loving and supportive message before your surgery tomorrow. I want to share with you that before I went in this past August, I knew I would probably receive the full sternotomy incision and had watched videos of the procedure. The night before my surgery for a valve replacement I dreamt of Angels guiding a white robed figure over to where the surgeons were beginning to work on my heart and the sleeves of the robe opened and two large and loving hands spread out to receive my heart and it was He who guided the surgeons hands while one more miracle took place. Loving and dedicated people took great pains to mend my heart and He stayed there in that room surrounded by Angels until their work was completed and only then slowly backed out as quietly and unnoticed by the other's as HE had entered and I felt the breeze from the surgery doors opening and closing as HE disappeared from view. It was warming to the soul to have had the "Master Healer" officiate my time in surgery and although a dream....I believe it was a dream that did come true! The best to you and your Team tomorrow that your surgery runs smoothly and tonight your own dreams bring you calm and strength. Prayers will be said for you Heart Sister.

Hey Donna..
Thanks for the link here to your journal. Burn your fav incense and do a relaxing stretch....visualizing yourself resting safely in angel wings or God's hands.See yourself calm, strong and in peace knowing you are protected in white light and love of all those who love you. Know that the surgeon has capable hands guided by their healing spirit...so you are literally putting your heart in those hands, made by the creator of all...and will be kept safe and strong during the procedure and recovery, just as you have been protected and made strong throughout your life. Fear stems from the unknown, but you know God loves you....so nothing has changed except the arena of where God is loving you. Ask God no remove the fear...as it is of no need Here. Holly
