Rich Butela Still doing at least two miles every day, some days I'll do another mile in the evening . I'm pretty active at home though so my step count shows about 5 miles every day. I'm good for about two flights of stairs then I start breathing harder. I would like to try jogging but I'm going to wait til 8 weeks out so I don't jar anything loose with my sternum.

Svetlomir Ivanov I am doing typically 5-6 km. per day, but some days feel my legs tired, and just stay at home, doing exercises or chores. Here is not very cold ,12 degree Celsius, but when is rainy I rest. I am able to climb slowly stairs to 7 th floors. By the way, after tge surgery in the first 4 weeks, I was more active. Now I am almost 2 months after surgery and do less, but my endurunce and stamina are better. Do not hurry with running, let the heart heal and adjust completely? What is the time in your town (state)?

Svetlomir Ivanov Atlanta is on the latitude of North Africa, I thought that there is alwyas warm. I live in Sofia, this is a capital of Bulgaria, north neighbour of Greece, Europe. Probably you would be able to climb 7 fligths of stairs, but just shall try...in the very begining is difuclt, try with 3 flighths, and you will adjust and gradually will increase the number. Also, DO NOT climb as usual - I take deep breath one-two times and start slowly, not as usual...between the flights stop for 2-3 seconds and take again deep breah. You will be suprised how much more you are able to climb.
Rich Butela I'll have to find a seven story building and give that a try

I was given a spirometer and advised to use it on a regular basis which I am still doing.

Richard Munson If you look at my first day home picture with my beloved 120 pound cassie on the bed giving me a dose of TLC in a very gentle way, i can only say that they know. How they know is a mystery, but they do. I keep that picture as my adams site picture as well as in my bedroom next to her ashes. She was a big part of my recovery. Will never forget it.

I'm glad they are fixing your aneurysm. When the surgeon popped the hood, he felt the aortic wall and said it was thick enough I didn't need the aneurysm fixed at that time. That is the thing we are really watching ever since I had surgery, to make sure it doesn't get worse, so I almost wish he had fixed it at the time, and that we wouldn't have to worry about it. You are going to feel so much better when you recover. The new valve does miracles for your stamina. You got a nice group of cheer leaders. I can see the resemblance between us.
