Well Tabitha-here it is, a chilly morning in California at 2:00 a.m. and the alarm went off for my husband to get up and ready himself for work. I came into the computer area of our little house to check in with our new patient posts and found you and Mark Dosal "Up to bat" today. My heart skipped a beat as I said a prayer for you and thought how important this day is to you both.
I also read your "Story" and was moved by your heartfelt mention of the passing of my buddy "Hunter" and your acknowledgement of others in our community as I realized that today you are headed for the "other side" of your surgery and so many positive changes in your health as I hope and pray for you and Mark to make it through this day with your surgeries running on time and smoothly. I can't wait to
read how you experience what so many of us have here in our community....especially the "waking up part to find it is now behind you" and moving forward you have a lot of healing to do with many things to write about coming where you will more than likely share and help others who are headed in the direction of surgery and out here today thinking of you and praying your journey continues into recovery with an amazingly mended heart! This is such an important
day for you. Please know you have many, many hearts out here in our community thinking of you knowing you are in the best of hands! Bless your Heart, literally!

Tabitha, I am praying for your smooth recovery. I had mitral valve repair last July. I am 59. I am doing very well. Yesterday, I ran up the road from a neighbor's house because it was so cold. I did it without thinking about my surgery. So natural. You will get there too. Nurses and staff will take very good care of you. Be patient with yourself. You will get stronger.
I live in NC. My surgery was in Charlotte..We are expecting bad weather too. Keeping you in thought and prayer.
