OK everybody My name IS David . I'm Tabitha ' s husband they started her surgery and found that tricuspid valve is in need of repair .

Hi everyone. Well today is my surgery. I have to be at the hospital at 5:15 am EST. Surgery is supposed to start at 8 am. I can't seem to fall asleep, it is roughly 2 am. I don't think I'll sleep between now and time to leave for the hospital. We, meaning those of us in upstate South Carolina, are expecting some ice and possible freezing rain. I hope we don't run into any. To Mark Dosal I hope your surgery goes well and you have a quick recovery. Goodbye for now. I can't wait to be on the other side and a member of the zipper club.

Hi everyone! This is the first post I have written on here. Just wanted to say hello. I will be having my mitral valve replaced and under going the maze procedure on Monday the 15. I go in for my pre-assessment in the morning. I have to be there at 7 am. I am very anxious about the surgery but I have every faith in my choice of surgeon and hospital. To everyone that recently had surgery and to those on the "list" of upcoming surgeries my thoughts and we'll wishes are always with you.

susan kotansky Dear Tabitha...I had a mitral valve replaced on October 1st and am feeling fine most of the time. By far the most difficult phase of this whole process was before the surgery, as many people here have also written. Everything is unknown and our minds often create a much worse scenario than the reality. The fact is that they have got this thing down and you will be in the hands of incredible masters. We are all here to support you!!!! All the best for a speedy and uneventful recovery!!!!
