I'm allergic to the adhesive on medical tape and I am sure that the "paper" tape that works for me won't be strong enough for what they want to do. That medical adhesive takes a while to remove! Glad to see you're doing well.

Lee Wright I would imagine that they can use the 'paper' tape, even if they have to change it more often. It was just holding on a bunch of gauze and I think I had a lot of it because my chest tube leaked some so they have to add some extra gauze and tape on day 2-3.
