Hello to all my fellow zipper club members. I had my surgery over 2 years ago for aortic root replacement and my aortic valve repair. I have been with minor pain ( more discomfort from time to time) but increased lately. My cardiologist telling me that all my tests results are OK and only possibility are the wires in my ribs cage which my heart surgeon wants to remove it as he thinks that might cause the pain. The pain is more on the left side and closer to my chest area. Is anyone experienced similar problems after surgery?

William Trankle Did they leave any pacemaker wires in you? After my first surgery they had to cut the wires off at my skin level (they left them threaded through my chest wall because I was having PVCs, and they weren't sure I wouldn't need external pacing for a while). Those wires caused an occasional twinge for me until they were removed later. I've heard of people having issues with sternal wires, so it could be that too.
Wojtek Blasiak Thanks for your response. No, no pacemaker for me. The wires are inside my ribs cage.
