Hi Holly
I know it took a bid longer to acknowledge your post to me. I've been ok up to this stage. I've resumed work since February and fortunately I've been working from home. The question I have been asking myself is whether I'll have the capacity to get back to the office and be able to physically get myself to sit out the entire day by my desk while I work. My career is one of the most important things in my life right now and I've been enjoying it quite a lot. At the age of 46, I know I have the energy to work for many more years to come.

Holly Wale Manju - I have not been given an actual choice. I am only 50 and most of my family has lived to be in their 100s. I would get a mechanical valve for longevity it is designed to provide. I am still hopeful and prayerful for a repair - I do not want to be on blood thinners for life. Good luck to you - I'll stay tuned!

Dallas Collier Holly, I'm in the same boat... 50 years old and my valve must be replaced... Bicuspid Aortic Valve Stenosis. I'm researching the differences between the Mechanical and Tissue valves and althought I love the thought of a valve that will last my lifetime (my family is very long lived as well), I don't like the thought of the Wararin for life or the "ticking" that I'll hear with the mechanical valve. I'm torn!
Lauren R Holly - you will be in fantastic hands with Dr Doolabh and his wonderful dedicated team.
