One amazing life journey Laurie you have had. Your a fighter and survivor that’s for sure!! Thanks for sharing your journey with us and I am praying for you. 

Laurie, what a heroic journey.  You are not only one strong lady, but you are a  survivor that will continue that way.   I and HVS warriors are with you all-the-way on this journey.  Your surgery, and any heart surgery, is daunting, but know heart surgery has an incredibly high success rate.   More to come as you approach your surgery date.  In the meantime, I will be thinking of you and pray for your strength and successful surgery.  -- dont' mess with this grandma~~!!!  

Hi Laurie! Welcome. Your story is much like mine. In 1977 at age (almost) 22, I too was diagnosed with Hydgkins Lymphoma and received large doses of radiation to my neck, chest, and abdomen. I seem to have the same heart valve issues as you: mitral stenosis, regurgitation and annular calcification, which will require a valve replacement; tricuspid stenosis and regurgitation; and CAD. My aortic valve was also stenotic with severe regurgitation. I had that valve replaced in 2020 thru TAVR.

I have been left with heart failure and pulmonary hypertension. I see my cardiologist and get an echo March 24. We will more than likely move forward with the mitral valve issues. I will continue to follow you and pray for your procedures as well. P.S. I have 2 living children and 5 grandchildren. We definitely need more time with them! Lol
