Gregg Nissly Made it to the top of cardiac hill today with no problems. This is where I first discovered that I had a problem. It's so nice to be able to climb the hill without feeling like I was going to die.

Awesome view! Looks like it was worth the hike and the surgery! Congrats!!

It sounds like you are doing very well. You are now 16 days post op, I think. My biggest recommendation is to walk as much as you can.

Gregg Nissly Thank you Tammy. I read much of your story and Journal, you'll see we have a lot in common. I too was diagnosed with a murmur at 14, but just went along blissfully ignorant until I had shortness of breath and was diagnosed with severe aortic stenosis in Oct 9. Surgery is set for Dec 4. Leaning towards a tissue valve. Congrats on your anniversary yesterday.

W. Carter Great recovery team, mine consists of a 6 lb. rat terrier. She is like a stable horse, going away from the barn all she wants to do is stop and sniff. When we turn around heading back to the barn there's no stopping her, no matter how fast I walk she pulls me and she is 12 yo. :-)
