Jeanne Saporito  My surgery is scheduled for September 14 for a valve repair and possible replacement. Your support has already touched my life. I want to introduce you to my beautiful grandson Max. it's wonderful to be part of such an amazing community of support and love.

Jeanne Saporito  Thank you guys and you are right Jean my grandson does want to run around all the time but he Has been a great distraction for me and keeps my heart full of love although the fear of the upcoming surgery comes and goes in waves. I feel like I've come to terms with the surgery and the post up but I'm concerned about returning home alone because I'm allergic to a lot of pain meds and being able to care for myself. My doctors office is telling me that short term impatient rehab is not recommended although my intuition tells me I need a few weeks with more support then I'll have at home alone. Did anyone return home alone without a lot of family support immediately after surgery?

Cheryl Batzing  Jeanne, you are in my prayers for a successful surgery and quick recovery for your valve repair/replacement. I had a mitral valve repair in December and am doing well 7 month post up. Max is a cutie!

Jeanne Saporito  Thank you guys however I can use some support seems the closer I get there the more I'm beginning to panic and almost feel like backing out-of course I know that's not the answer-how will deal with the fear - anyone else felt this way ?
