I haven't been here long, but I just wanted to say that I appreciate how real all of you make this! People in my life either don't really seem to understand the gravity of my situation or think it's practically a death sentence. Thank you all for bringing it back to the middle and helping me see that it's a big surgery, but I'll recover and life will go on!

Adam Boyadjis Fully agree. I had mitral valve replacement in May. Received a St. Jude mechanical valve. There is a clicking noise that I’m still getting used to but for the most part the recovery has been manageable. It helps that it was minimally invasive and being younger helps with recovery. I’m at 6-weeks and INRs seem to be more stable and life is starting to look normal again. Good luck with your journey.
