Sue Stone Hi Andrew.. thanks for reaching out. I had an in person meeting with Dr. Burke and he had a great demeanor and very professional but I think I may have thrown him off a bit by asking about his track record!! I've always used UWMedicine (for my 1st aortic valve replacement and for my c-section because I was high risk with a very faulty valve).
This website is great.. I was able to look up some more material here but I'm really looking to see where I can learn more about the double valve (Aortic and Mitral) valve replacement. I'll be 50 soon, so I just want to make sure I can still travel, etc. For me.. I know I don't have much choice but to go with blood thinners but that's another game to deal with. I've accepted that for now.
I saw the Ross procedure you mentioned and I thought that was an amazing technology !! Just wished I could have used that back when I was 41. But again.. Hind sight is always 20/20 so I'm trying not look back. ... Read more

We haven't set the date yet, but it'll be within 3 months for me.. so I'm a little anxious.

J Alexander Lassally Hi Sue- I appreciated your comments here. The more you "press" some of these doctors the more awkward the conversations can get. Did he offer compelling outcome statistics for you? All the best!
