Bob Jensen  Phyllis. I had two bypasses and they use the artery that was in my breast tissue. Then I had my A1A completely repaired and the aneurysm removed and then they put in a new bovine valve. I was having a tough time with the extensive pain medication the hydrocodones had to go down to 5 / 3:25 anything more than that I would get really screwed up on the stuff and then I didn't like it. I am absolutely blown away that I am home 3 days after going in my medical team was over-the-top incredibly great the facility was awesome and the support network was incredible. He even told me if I wanted to I can go into the office for a couple of hours during the week as it's right down the street from my house and I don't need to drive there and he definitely wants me walking around the neighborhood starting today

Bob Jensen  Great Idea Rita - I want to get off the pain meds first so I can enjoy some strong cocktails in Key West - I think that is where I wana go for a good short time and just chill out.

Phyllis Petersen  Wow Bob! That's an awful lot to have done and still be getting out in 3 days. I'm glad to hear you're doing so well. One thing everyone notice rather shortly after my surgery was how much more color I had. I didn't think I was quite that pale, but then we can't always see ourselves. Keep up the good work!

Candas Jones  3 DAYS??? I was in there for a week!!! I have low blood pressure and mine went too low, I had to stay until I got that drug our of my system and I was back !

Gloria Savannah-Austin  Hi bob- looks like you live in Central Florida area. I am looking at possible Aortic surgery this year hopefully later than sooner. Tests last time showed progression though, so trying to eat healthy, drop a few pounds and get my stamina up for this. Looks like you are doing well. My doctor of choice will be Kevin Accola at Florida Hospital in Orlando. Glad to see you doing so well. Gives me hope and inspiration. Keep healing. :)

Robert Harris  So happy to see your successful surgery Bob. I'm sorry that I didn't respond sooner. I had a successful surgery, but, did have an unexpected turn of events after being at home for a few days. I am working through it and am back home and healing.

Bob Jensen  I'm an official zipper Club member. This is 24 hours after my surgery the anxiousness is finally gone and we're celebrating and now it's time to recover the pain medication is great

Terrie Syvertsen  Congratulations to you Bob! You are looking relieved and you are on your way to recovering! Happy for you and jealous of the little heart puppy you have along with your heart pillow which for awhile will be your best friend! Heal well!

Bob Jensen  Finally - a place for me to discuss all of this stuff. I am a single dad of two great daughters who have been my life after my wife's death 8 years ago. I now have a loving partner that has helped me raise my girls, and I am the one they all depend on. It is hard for me to surrender to the fact that I will be dependent on them for a while. Probably a good thing for me. And I needed a great reason to quit smoking for sure and this is it. Love never fails.
