Lilly! How have you been feeling? Let us know, okay? Peggy, Rita, Kate...big hugs. I’m way overweight and find myself overly frustrated at the pain in my feet that stops me from moving. Heck, just keeping my balance is a full-time job. Being short of breath is another issue..and being overweight works against me on that one! Yeah yeah. I know, to you guys I look okay, but my thumbnail pic is what I looked like b4 my surgery. Lots of water under that 2 year bridge! But, I got through. I’m glad for that! God Bless friends 🌸🌸

Barbara Laurie  Oh you guys! My birthday was a couple of weeks ago, so, they waited a bit to surprise me😄🎉 Yes, that cake was gorgeous AND the teacup was hand painted by a friend who’s an artist, steadier hand too!
I’m good ya’ll. I’m waiting to see doctors and such, and hope to have a decision about this Catheter procedure by next month. Otherwise I am trying to have as normal a life as possible 🌸😜🌸 I admit, I’m often very tired, not very strong and limited in my activities..but that’s really not much different than before my surgery. I just get to lug an oxygen tank around with me! Ah, the vagaries of life.
Thanks for all the happy birthdays, I love them!!! I am so glad to have gotten to 57. Yup! Now, off to sleeep with me☺️💕

Post surgery is going well . Dr. McCarthy did a great job for MVR repair.

PS. Clare and Bridget, my surgery was done by a doctor who specializes on OHS For..tiny babies. He did time learning suturing with a plastic surgeon for babies. All in all it's really not as noticeable as this picture! So thank you! Alina, you are too kind for words, so wonderful I love this necklace!!!!!! ❤

Barbara Laurie  Ah Rita, you're a tiny lady, and believe me, all the work they had to do to keep the girls from ripping open my sutures wad tough! Look closely and you'll see two round scars on each side down low, there are two more lower where a type of tubing suture was used to hold my breasts together for three weeks! But your comment is kindly received💕🌿🦋

Catie B  Yikes to what they had to do to your girls! That all sounds so painful--I had no idea such a thing could occur.

Kate Watson  I love him, such an adorable face! Nothing like the unconditional love of a pet to help you through the hard days.

Barbara Laurie  Don't mind my puffy face, which gets worse as time passes. Not all the blood in my head gets drained by gravity, especially at night, when I am supposed to be sleeping sitting up, but I end up almost back down all the way! Gives me a terrible headache but goodness, I'm going to need bungee cords to strap me in at night! I rather prefer to lie down to sleep, but then blood can't drain from my head to my pulmonary artery, oh bother! 😭❤️

Peggy Whitecotton  Barb... It is a miracle that u have survived. I have followed your posts from your 2 heart surgeries and what an incredible journey you have been on. I was at death's doors when I had my surgery (it saved my life) but nothing like yours. Took me about 9 months to fully recover. But seeing what you are going through makes me feel guilty of the times I would cry because I wasn't healing fast enough. As I said before God has a very special plan for your life. You are most amazing. I will continue to pray for you heart sister💕

I have always considered everyone's pain, suffering, frustrations to be important. I totally get feeling horrible complaining, when many of my loved ones are worse off than I, but aren't we all in this together? So, we all suffer, God allows it for His glory, and we are reminded to be kind to one another, tender hearted ❤️ Forgiving one another as God forgave us in Christ Jesus❣ Thanks heart sisters all for building me up.

Barbara Laurie  James didn't even wiggle the night of the fire works, and they are right outside our window across the street (which is where the Lake is) he is very active, but this isn't our first rodeo..but he's so, so tiny!! Finally gained almost a pound this past three weeks. Otherwise he's progressing well..tell your mom, Lori, a tuckered out JRT is a good JRT 😄😄🐾🐶🐾

When I was in Hospital I got talking to another patient (having a girly chat) for ages, the Nurses were running trying to find me esp when my Parents rang up to talk to me see how I was going and they replied "umm we can't find her...yet" lol. I’m so pleased to see you looking so good (great husband too, btw), and just know you’ve been in my prayers night and day from the beginning (I just officially joined today however). I too am needing surgery for Ebstein’s Anomaly in the near future (like you, a complicated tricuspid replacement—but I’m 68), and I’m exploring my options (where, when, how long to wait, what other questions to ask, etc). My situation is made even more serious by the need for another valve surgery at the same time (bovine aortic valve re-replacement, from seriously botched surgery 13 years ago, for the WPW ablation part of this syndrome). Needless to say, I’m VERY scared and I’m wondering if you would be willing to contact me privately with any words of wisdom gleaned from your experience with the EA part of this (there don’t seem to be too many of us with EA, it seems. I don’t know anyone with a double valve surgery with this syndrome either… anyone out there?). I’m new to this, and there doesn’t seem to be a private message option (or is there)? If not, I’ll send along my email address. Would be deeply deeply grateful for any words of wisdom, whenever you might feel up to it.

Barbara Laurie  I was laughing , but the tiny bench we sat on for two hours killed my neck and back! But, they assured me the bed will be regular sized😄 But, could resist making you smile! I am 5' 1" tall..so, tiny rooms with tiny everything😄😄

Barbara Laurie  You can buy at American Heart Association website! They have a few designs! Cute huh? I will wear it to death! This is an extra large, but it shrunk a little and fits nicely. ❤️♥️❤️

They are cute and looks great on you! 😊 They should give out those shirts at Cardiac Rehab, we are given name badges. I found another cool shirt online I will try send you/post. I wouldn't mind if it's baggy (be good for scar) as long as it's comfy+supports a great cause.
