Celebrating 8 weeks post op today! Feeling great, doing great and many thanks to all in my support network who helped guide me along the way. Cardiac Rehab going very well......I foresee a little golf in my future, once I get the old thumbs up from the team! Have a great weekend all!

Andrea Babcock Glad your recovery is going so well! Dean is at 3 month next Tuesday and also doing great! He has been pretty much back to normal since the 2 month point and I have to keep him from overdoing things. We are flying to Europe next week and Dean feels very ready and comfortable with going on the trip. I am handling all the lifting his luggage. I only allow him to roll the suitecase.

Hello my heart Community. Wanted to give a quick update. My surgery went well on 3-7. Was discharged on 3-12 from the Cleveland Clinic. I am home and resting. The CC team did a fantastic job caring for me. I want to thank everyone for the prayers, encouragement and kind words!

Sean Adkins You are on the exact same path I took last year. Dr. Lars Svensson is the best in the world. I just finished cardiac rehabilitation today and all is well!

Herb Greenberg Four years ago today Dr. Svensson and his team did their thing with me... when I was 67. Fantastic experience.

My bicuspid turned out to be a unicuspid, and like you and Sean I also had my ascending aorta repaired. My 9" scar is barely visible... though I wouldn't have believed it would have been judging by the way it looked immediately after surgery.

My advice: Just follow the protocol, hit the pain button every 6 or 7 minutes, don't be a hero, keep your sense of humor and if you don't like your step-down nurse (I didn't, at first) speak up to Svensson's nurse practitioner and you'll be assigned somebody great.
